We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join our Design and Business Services team based in Speke, Liverpool. Location : Speke, Liverpool - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required. Contract : Permanent – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know. Our multi-disciplinary chartered design practice is one of the UK top 50 and comprises a dedicated team of professionals, supported by a range of specialists in areas such as carbon management, fire safety, acoustic design and conservation and heritage. Our services and capabilities include; project and programme management, architecture and landscape design, civil and structural engineering, Building Services engineering, building information modelling (BIM), cost management, strategic estates advice, building and condition surveys, ICT design and installation services, business case development, feasibility and advisory services. What will you be responsible for? This role of Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer is great for you if: You enjoy going onsite to scope out projects and provide technical advice to both internal and external stakeholders, in line with industry standards. Designing specifications for air source, heat pumps, water/ventilation systems, among others, and providing design solutions. Can provide solutions for logistical issues. You enjoy being hands on with smaller projects. What are we looking for? The Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer will work within our Design team and positively contribute to reducing the UK's carbon emissions. We would like to engage design professionals who can demonstrate: Experience in designing to DFE specifications, Degree in Building Services Engineering or equivalent, Proven ability to work within budget and to tight timescales, Technical competence to develop Mechanical Building Services Engineering design solutions and provide coordinated solutions for major new builds, refurbishments and minor works. Demonstrable understanding of current industry standards, Building regulations, Health and Safety and CDM regulations. Proven experience with use of industry standard design software including Cymap, NBS, AutoCAD and Revit M. Is this your next career move?
