Mapei (UK) Ltd is seeking to recruit a Senior Human Resources Advisor. This role is an exciting opportunity for an individual who wants to continue their career in HR. This role is to assist the Human Resources Department.
The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for assisting in the delivery of a full range of Human Resources services. This includes travelling to all sites across the business, including once a month to the sites in the North, ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services, supporting employee relations, and promoting best practices in HR management. The advisor will assist and work in the Human Resources Team for the continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and processes in line with UK Employment Law, best practice, and the Integrated Management System.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Excellent working knowledge of Human Resource policy, best practices, and processes in line with Employment Law & primary codes of practice.
2. CIPD Level 5 Qualification or currently working towards it.
3. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a HR Advisor role.
4. Strong background in handling complex employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management.
5. Proven track record of coaching and mentoring managers to improve their people management skills.
6. Adherence to company management systems, policies, and procedures already implemented within the business.
7. In-depth knowledge of Employment Law legislations, best practices, and policies.
8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
9. Sound verbal and written communication skills including note-taking.
10. Organisation and time management skills.
11. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
12. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office to a high standard.
13. Full, clean, valid driving licence to enable travel to multiple sites.
14. Experience in leading HR Projects or initiatives would be beneficial.
15. Experience within the manufacturing industry.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, 0830-1700 Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch. This is an office-based role.
