Come and be a welcoming front of house face for our bustling Veterinary Practice in Paisley! We are a close knit, supportive team providing high quality care to our much loved patients. We value excellent communication skills and the ability to manage phone calls, client payments and manage an emergency situation. We are looking for an organised and diligent team member to aid us with organising appointments and calls, keeping client details up to date and handling insurance. Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
Work Schedule:
17 hours per week:
Friday: 9-4pm
Saturday: 8-3pm
Sunday: 10-2pm
Extra hours would be available to help cover holidays if wished.
Job Duties include:
1. Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
2. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar
3. Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
4. Collect and update client information, including medical history and insurance details
5. Assist with the administration of client insurance claims
6. Process payments for services rendered and provide clients with invoices or receipts
7. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, appointments, and medical treatments
Experience:
1. Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
2. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures, and medications is a plus
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
4. Excel and Word ability
5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
6. Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
7. Compassionate and empathetic towards animals and their owners
