About the Role:
As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalised education plans that cater to the unique needs of each pupil. Your dedication will help create an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities of the Primary SEN Teacher:
Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised lessons that meet the specific needs of pupils with SEN.
Develop a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters confidence and independence.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, implementing effective differentiation and intervention strategies.
Use creative and adaptive teaching methods to engage pupils and enhance their learning experiences.
Foster positive behaviour management strategies to encourage student engagement.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance pupil development.
Contribute to the wider school community, participating in staff meetings, extracurricular activities, and school initiatives.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching pupils with SEN.
Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment methods for SEN pupils.
Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire pupils.
Show a commitment to raising pupil attainment through innovative and differentiated teaching strategies.
Have experience working with pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND or EAL needs.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Be available full-time and eager to contribute to school life.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
