What will my working week look like? Your week will be a mix of site visits (typically 1-2 days per week), on-site or Head Office meetings at Youggle House, and home-based work for reporting and document reviews etc. You'll have the flexibility to manage your own diary while ensuring department and business objectives are met. To support collaboration and training, you should be based within a reasonable distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington, for occasional in-person meetings and courses. What will I be responsible for doing? First and foremost, you will provide health and safety advice to the Asset Management department, including contractors who work on our behalf. You will be responsible for a programme of assurance visits and inspections on construction related projects within the Asset Management department and will review, comment and advise on the standard of Construction Phase Plans prior to projects being started As part of your role, you will also when required attend Pre-Start Meetings, Project Meetings, and Contractor Performance Meetings, and will support the Health & Safety Trainer with YHG’s Health & safety training programme, throughout the business and the Health & Safety Manager with reporting when needed One of the great things about this role is the variety—no two weeks are the same. You’ll be the primary contact for on-site construction health and safety advice, supporting project teams and contractors across multiple sites and projects. Building strong relationships is key.
