As a Maintenance Operative, you’ll ensure the care home remains functional at all times and our residents have a safe and comfortable environment. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
* A good understanding of building services including heating, hot and cold water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution, and plumbing.
* A good understanding of building fabric and its maintenance.
* Practical experience of planned maintenance systems and record keeping.
* Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and experience of compliance.
* A full driving licence and willingness to support neighbouring Bupa care homes.
* A minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in property maintenance and general repairs, or a building/electrical/plumbing qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc).
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Be flexible to meet changing demands within the care home.
* Practical ability and experience in painting and decorating.
