Your role will be to deliver training on the construction and maintenance of WESM equipment fitted to Royal Navy Astute and Vanguard class submarines. What you'll be doing:
• Delivering Training : Provide high-quality instruction on the construction and maintenance of submarine equipment (Weapons Engineering).
• Maintenance and Support : Perform planned maintenance and defect rectification to ensure equipment availability.
• Collaboration : Work effectively with internal and external authorities to achieve training goals.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records and provide expert maintenance support.
• Training Design : Contribute to the design and development of training programs and materials.
• Support Tasks : Assist with preparatory work, assessments, and post-delivery activities.
What we're looking for:
• Experience as a Petty Officer Engineer Technician (WESM) on the Class of Submarine relevant to the training being delivered
• Previous experience of delivering training would be desirable
• Proficient in the use of MS Office
• DCTS Defence Train The Trainer Course (successful completion) is highly beneficial
• Must be able to travel to the south coast for training in the first few months
• There will be a need to work 6pm - 10pm once every 6 weeks for a week
• Must be able to be cleared to UK SC level
