We invite applications for a part-time Lecturer in Equine Diagnostic Imaging in the Department of Clinical Science and Services. The service is integrated into the large team of specialists within RVC Equine, located in our Hawkshead Campus, a 15-minute train ride from the centre of cosmopolitan London and near a number of international airports.
The position will appeal to those that enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive team environment that offers flexibility and family-friendly working patterns. We welcome newly trained specialists looking for a large collegiate team to further consolidate their skills, as well as more established specialists that thrive in teaching and want a better work-life blend. You will be expected to take an active role in the clinical activities of the section, providing the highest standards of clinical care. In addition, participation in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching supervision and mentoring is expected.
The section is equipped with a 0.27T MRI (Hallmarq), a CT (Canon Aquilion Exceed LB with Qalibra platform for standing horses and horses under GA), a gamma camera (MIE), high end ultrasound unit (GE Vivid E9, GE Logic Fortis), digital radiography (Varex, SoundEklin) with a high output generator (Sapphire Rad, Varex) and multiple portable x-ray units.
We are looking for candidates with a RCVS registrable degree in veterinary medicine, who hold or are eligible to sit the examination for a postgraduate diploma of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging or the American College of Veterinary Radiology.
