Burnside College is looking for an IT Apprentice to join their team in Newcastle. You will benefit from a mentor who really understands your experience having previously trained with Baltic themselves. Your role will predominantly be to support the day to day IT operations of the school and will include providing first-line support to users (staff and students), installing software, building systems and fixing IT issues. In this role, youll work towards your l evel 3 Information Communications Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Providing first-line support over the telephone and face-to-face to IT users Maintaining IT equipment to a high standard Preparing and testing portable devices ensuring they are available when requested Identifying IT faults and resolving them Installing hardware and software under the guidance of the IT Manager Working as part of a team to provide a high level of service to all stakeholders Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team. Salary, Hours & Benefits: Salary - Apprenticeship rates apply 37 hours per week (working pattern to be confirmed) 52/52 contract - this requires the successful candidate to work throughout the term and during some school holidays.
