Learning Support Assistant needed in Totton!
We are looking to find a Learning Support Assistant to join one of our KS2 support teams at a partner school in Totton. The educator we are looking for would be working in our Year 3 class support a child 1:1 who has autism.
This position is required on a full-time basis in compliance with the pupils EHCP. The pupil requires support due to learning difficulties. The pupil has planned intervention sessions and is full time working within the main year 3 classroom.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with teachers to facilitate lesson delivery and classroom activities as a Teaching Assistant.
• Offer one-on-one or small group assistance to students, following teacher directives.
• Aid in the preparation of learning materials and resources in your role as a Teaching Assistant.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, contributing to its maintenance.
• Cultivate positive relationships with students and provide support for their social and emotional development as a Teaching Assistant.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
• A genuine passion for education and a commitment to the well-being of students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic educational setting.
• The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
