Investigator Role in Law Enforcement
Our client, a leading organisation within Law Enforcement, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Investigator to join their team, starting ASAP for a 3-month initial contract with very likely ongoing long-term extension. This is a full-time role, paying £18.80ph, 36 hours per week. The role offers hybrid working, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home (equipment provided).
Working alongside prosecutors and principal investigators, the Investigator will play a crucial role in investigating serious and complex cases of fraud or bribery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Actively participate in investigations by developing lines of enquiry and gathering evidence.
* Assist the case team in exercising powers under Section 2 CJA.
* Review substantial amounts of material to identify pertinent information and advance lines of enquiry.
* Lead the analysis and interpretation of financial data to uncover relevant information and evidential material.
* Plan and conduct interviews with victims, witnesses, and suspects.
* Obtain written statements on matters relevant to the investigation.
* Participate actively in case conferences and contribute appropriate input to ensure the team is updated on case information.
* Support the disclosure process to fulfill obligations under the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act.
* Manage victims and witnesses in accordance with the Code of Practice for Victims of Crime and The Witness Charter.
* Assist in constructing case chronologies and decision logs.
* Provide evidence in court when required.

Skills and Abilities:
* Proficiency in gathering, analysing, and evaluating information and intelligence from various sources, including Digital Review Systems.
* Understanding, interpreting, and explaining financial data relevant to investigations.
* Strong skills in using MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
