Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial processes by providing key support with bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, and assisting with month-end tasks. You will also liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve financial queries.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in finance & contribute to an efficient & effective finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, payments, and receipts
* Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
* Help reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
* Review employee expense claims
* Assist with month-end closing procedures
* Responsibility for the fixed asset register
* Oversee & manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Answer queries from internal departments and external clients regarding financial matters
* Perform general administrative duties
Requirements:
* Previous experience in an accounts or finance role is essential
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Previous experience using Xero
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
* Ability to prioritise tasks and adhere to strict deadlines
* AAT qualification is desirable, but not essential
