Experienced charging engineer, delivering new feature content (Feature-statement of Intent use cases, requirements, test cases, Human machine interface), & leading design validation and sign-off.
Charging system performance team is responsible for the design and advanced development and selection of charging components for EV / Hybrid vehicle lines.
Charging system engineers lead the design & development of multiple software and electronics hardware-based functions and will be responsible for integrating these functions into High Voltage (HV) charging systems.
Your responsibilities:
1. Develop requirements for specific HV charging features, review the associated failure modes, functional safety / cyber security requirements, and test each feature for feasibility of implementation.
2. Gain a detailed understanding of HV charging systems and their operation to design, review, and refine future systems for robustness and cost optimization.
3. Enhance understanding of EV / hybrid vehicle charging infrastructure, customer charging needs, competitor charging systems, and future market trends. Use these insights to improve charging capabilities and guide future development efforts.
Your Profile: Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
1. Expertise in High Voltage Electronic Charging systems.
2. Working knowledge of software development and associated processes.
3. Project management, leadership, and planning skills, along with good teamwork and communication skills. Strategic thinking is also essential.
4. Experience in R&D, quality processes such as 8D, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in engineering.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics engineering or automotive engineering.
2. Working knowledge of JIRA / Confluence.
3. Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and problem-solving abilities.
4. Good communication and collaboration skills.
