BBC Cymru Wales Sport has an amazing track record for developing and delivering distinct and original output across digital platforms, radio, and television - including well-known, reputable brands such as Feast of Football, Radio Wales Sport, Chwaraeon Radio Cymru, BBC Sport online, Scrum V & Clwb Rygbi. The Sport continuous output area is responsible for delivering all of BBC Wales Sport news, across digital platforms and our two national radio stations in English and Welsh. The team is at the forefront of Sports journalism, combining comprehensive sports commentaries and coverage with exclusive story delivery, accompanied by accessible analysis and explanation of events. It aims to deliver the highest quality journalism to an increasingly diverse audience. We are looking for a production coordinator to work within our digital and audio teams under strands for BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru, BBC Sounds and across the BBC Wales Sport Online website and app. You will work to support our multi-platform journalists technically, logistically, and organisationally, whether it's getting them to stadiums across the UK to commentate on teams playing in the Championship, League One, and League Two games, or sorting match accreditation to the Six Nations home and away games. You will work across some of the biggest Welsh sporting events in fast paced working environment. Main Responsibilities This is an exciting opportunity to join BBC Wales Sport, supporting the digital and radio teams. The successful candidate will work closely with Production Coordinators, the Production Manager, and the Assistant Editor (Planning) to coordinate fixtures and events across the Welsh sporting calendar. Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to challenges are essential, as well as attention to detail in managing travel and broadcast logistics, along with clear communication across teams and external stakeholders. The role includes promoting sustainability, tracking carbon usage, and ensuring Eco Audio accreditation. Budget awareness and spend tracking are also important.
