Individual Needs Assistant The details of this role are as follows: Annual leave: School holidays ( Bank Holidays) Contract type: Part-time 16 hours, as per EHCP (term time only) Salary: £7938 (pro-rata) Start date: January 2025 Job Description Purpose of the job To develop an understanding of the specific needs of the pupil to be supported, as advised by the school’s Inclusion Co-Ordinator (INCo) To support the pupil in practical matters relating to their learning To support the pupil to learn effectively as possible both in group situations and individually, both inside and outside of the classroom To establish a supportive relationship with other pupils To carry out specific duties as outlined in the pupil’s Education Health Care Plan To familiarise self with the curriculum and learning activities that may support the pupil’s learning To maintain the system of recording and monitoring of the pupil’s progress To participate in the evaluation of any specific support programme or targeted intervention To report any problems about arrangements or any incidents to the Class Teacher and INCo To help adapt or find differentiated materials to enable the Pupil’s access to the curriculum To participate in relevant professional development and training pertinent to the role To maintain confidentiality about all home-school and pupil/teacher matters. To ensure the safety of the pupil and other pupils while in your care To attend to any personal & health needs of the pupil, where appropriate To appreciate and support the role of other professionals.
