The Business Continuity Officer at Chesterfield Royal Hospital Foundation Trust (CRHFT) is essential in enhancing the Trust’s readiness for emergencies. This role involves developing emergency response strategies and ensuring compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. A significant part of the job includes refining and testing response and business continuity plans, ensuring CRHFT can adapt to and manage potential crises effectively. The business continuity officer also supports the delivery of specialized training to staff, preparing them for emergency management and representing CRHFT in regional and national training exercises. Collaborating with stakeholders, the officer plays a pivotal role in developing policies and updating them as per new guidelines. Additionally, they assist in developing business continuity plans across departments, ensuring operational preparedness. The Business Continuity Officer’s contributions supports maintaining the high standard of patient care at CRHFT, particularly in emergency situations.

The main duties involve supporting the Emergency Planning Portfolio at Chesterfield Royal Hospital with the current Emergency Planning Officer.
