What You'll Do:
* Manage and lead day-to-day operations of the SI&T Lab in the White City office to ensure optimal performance, reliability, access, and uptime.
* Cross team collaboration to maintain connectivity, configuration, and proactive issue identification and resolution.
* Regular health checks and testing of lab equipment including RF testing, networking, and hardware issues. Lead technical and IT issue resolution, coordinate with dedicated vendor support teams.
* Develop and implement efficient lab hardware, software, and data management processes. Implement service management methodologies which include incident, problem, capacity, and others.
* Provide input on operational and budgetary requirements for lab maintenance and new equipment to serve business needs as the capability matures.
* Automation to maintain lab hardware and software deployed by vendors.
* Facilitate installation of new user terminals across other Eutelsat sites to maintain a network of test terminals integrated with the core lab in White City.
* Maintenance of installed LEO terminals at Eutelsat owned satellite facilities which include Westcott, Rambouillet, and others.
* Assist the System Integration & Test team in ongoing test and validation campaigns of new features and user terminals, which will use the lab as a test bed.
What It Takes:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology. Master's preferred.
* At least 5 years experience in a relevant industry - satellite communications, telecommunications with actual hands-on experience of working in a lab environment and maintaining lab equipment and facilities.
* A proactive drive to address risks before they become issues, and take ownership of issues through to resolution.
* Excellent networking experience which includes the ability to configure switches, routers, problem-solving, and tracing root cause of connectivity issues.
* Excellent understanding of RF engineering, 4G/LTE, QoS, usage of Qualcomm tools like QCAT/QXDM.
* Working ability to script in Python, Bash, Perl, or similar languages.
* Experience with Linux, VMWare, AWS, or other cloud providers.
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
* Strong logistical coordination skills, attention to detail & time management abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Understanding of the development and test lifecycle, and exposure to both Waterfall and Agile ways of working.
What We'd Love:
* Experience with LEO/MEO satellite systems and their systems CONOPS and systems performance variables and their optimization.
* Experience of working on bespoke systems in the satcoms industry.

* Experience with a variety of RF test equipment and software (Rohde & Schwarz), and field engineering experience.
* 5G experience and working with enterprise-grade Nokia telecommunications kit.
