Aspire Drug and Alcohol Services are provided in partnership by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Trust (RDaSH) and The Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS). If you don't already have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 2 apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].
As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
Whether you already work for us or are joining the Trust and NHS for the first time, apprenticeships can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and know-how in order to embark on a successful and fulfilling career within the health service.
This will include dealing with queries from service users, relatives and carers, inputting and updating data relating to the service and working with clinicians and partners for the service delivery.
The post holder is expected to work across three base points on a weekly basis, including a late night shift once a month, working 11-7 on either a Monday or Thursday.
To communicate effectively, accurately and professionally, applying discretion and empathy where necessary, with written, telephone and face to face contact, with patients, visitors, other Trust staff and externalagencies.
Create and maintain, up to date computerised patient records and recall systems on SystmOne.
Update new referrals on to SystmOne. Maintain current referrals and end where advised to do so.
Provide an efficient and timely photocopying and scanning service to theteam.
Maintain, scan and file paper records and information as appropriate, in line with records management principles.
Assist in the production of high quality documentation, using Microsoft Word and SystmOne, including confidential letters, non-accidental injury reports, case conference reports, housing reportsetc.
Liaise between clients, professional staff and other multi-agency partners asrequired.
Deal with telephone enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, recording messages as per agreed systems and escalating as perprotocols.
