Role Overview: The Group Reporting Accountant will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for the group. This includes managing statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/FRS102/IFRS16), and supporting the business in maintaining robust financial controls. The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA/ICAEW/ICAS accountant with a strong background in auditing and statutory reporting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver consolidated financial statements for the group in compliance with IFRS and FRS102. Oversee statutory accounts preparation and submission for UK and international entities. Ensure compliance with IFRS16 (Leases) requirements, providing guidance to the business on related matters. Liaise with external auditors, acting as the key contact during audit processes. Support month-end close processes, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and group reporting. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and standards. Contribute to the enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy. Support ad-hoc financial projects and provide technical accounting advice as required. Key Requirements: Fully qualified ACA/ICAEW/ICAS accountant with a strong foundation in auditing, preferably from a Big 4 or top-tier accounting firm. Extensive statutory reporting experience, including preparation of financial statements under IFRS and FRS102. Expertise in IFRS16 (Leases) and its application. Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to interpret and apply complex standards. Proven ability to manage and liaise with external auditors. High attention to detail and ability to deliver under tight deadlines. Proficient in using financial systems and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
