We are looking for a friendly and well organised Band 7 Podiatrist to join our team at RAF Cranwell.
This position is Part Time and offers 28.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
We seek to return those Service personnel who become injured, to operational levels of fitness as soon as possible the 'fitter quicker' principle.
We require the successful post holder to deliver Musculoskeletal focused podiatry for a wide variety of conditions as well as being involved in the continuous evaluation and improvement of the service.
Job responsibilities
The main duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
* Having professional and legal accountability to the Professional Body responsible for the registration of Podiatrists Standards of Practice, Health Professions Council Standards of Proficiency, Conduct, Performance and Ethics, MOD local policies and tort law in all aspects of practice.
* Formulating, developing and delivering a highly unique individualised treatment programme based upon evidence-based practice; podiatry-based assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning. In liaison with the clinical specialist team.
* Performing highly skilled and specialised podiatry assessment and treatment including the provision of MOD approved orthotic appliances to patients referred to the RRU. To use clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis. To appropriately use highly specialist equipment.
* Developing protocols to enhance the clinical development and efficacy of clinics and Special Interest Groups.
* Providing highly specialised podiatry advice on patient care to health professional colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team (MDT); this may involve challenging or requesting changes to treatment programmes/care plans set by others within the MDT.

Qualifications
* Member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and/or State Registered Podiatrist (HCPC).
* Professional knowledge through degree supplemented by post grad specialist training.
* Experience, knowledge and expertise in specialist field of clinical biomechanics to Masters level or equivalent.

£46,148 to £52,809 a year Pro Rata for Part Time
