Machine Operator
Location: Littleport, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 14:00-00:00 Monday-Thursday & 06:00-14:00 Monday-Friday
Hourly Rate / Salary: £12.21 per hour + holiday pay with salary increases based on skill level
Duration: Temporary to Permanent.
Machine Operative position is available for a well-established company in Littleport. Previous manufacturing experience is desirable for the position, but not essential as full training will be offered for the right person. You must have a can-do attitude, be comfortable working with tools and be physically fit.
If successful on pre-screening you may be asked to work on a paid 2 hour trial period.
Job Duties:
1. Accurately measuring powders
2. Setting and operating machinery
3. Quality checking over finished products
4. Assembling items using hand and power tools
5. Keeping factory clean and tidy
6. Working towards company targets
What we are looking for:
1. Positive attitude towards work and colleagues
2. Ability to work independently or within small teams
3. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
4. Previous experience working with hand and power tools
5. Previous experience operating machinery
6. Ability to measure out products accurately
7. Comfortable with heavy lifting
