An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Healthy Child Assistant. The post is with the Ashfield Healthy Families Team to deliver universal health reviews and breast feeding support and other duties as part of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme. Proven experience of working with children and families in some capacity is essential as a major part of this role will involve lone working with parents and their children when completing development reviews. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act on your own initiative but to be able to escalate any issues to the Specialist Public Health Practitioners who lead and manage the Healthy Families Team on a day to day basis. You will need to be flexible to meet the service needs of the children and their families, have good time management and IT skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as within a team. Ashfield Healthy Family Team work closely with Partners to deliver high quality services to Children and Young people.
