Job Description
Norfolk fire and rescue service’s core mission is making Norfolk a safer placethrough:
1. Preventing fires and other emergencies occurring
2. Protecting people, buildings and the environment
3. Responding to fires and other emergencies when they arise.
We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working individual who will help our response crews by supporting the maintenance and delivery of critical firefighting and life safety equipment, ensuring that they have the necessary safety critical equipment available to facilitate emergency response and protect the public. The post holder will be required to use their specialist knowledge, experience and understanding of NFRS, manufacturer and legislative guidance, to make autonomous decisions about whether to remove, replace or limit the use of safety critical equipment, to protect the safety of fire fighters and the public.
The post holder will be required to provide 24/7 standby cover out of normal working hours on a rota system.
This post involves lone working.
The successful candidate will be required to pass an employment eligibility check and a standard level disclosure and barring service check.
