As the Business Developer, you will be the subject matter expert in Dosing and Disinfection (D&D) and will be responsible for developing the share of wallet within D&D. This role involves managing customer accounts, developing new customers, and upskilling the area sales resources through tandem visits, training, and coaching. Job Responsibilities: - Customer Management: Oversee dosing and disinfection services for existing clients while expanding the customer base. - Financial Oversight: Manage the budget and ensure profitability for D&D within your designated area. - Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to increase market share within the D&D sector. - Support Services: Provide both commercial and technical support for D&D products. - Team Development: Train and mentor the sales team to enhance their account management skills. - Market Analysis: Collect and analyse market intelligence to offer valuable insights to the business. - Sales Execution: Secure sales for large-scale opportunities involving D&D products. - Marketing Representation: Represent the area in D&D marketing activities and new product launches. - Network Participation: Actively engage and contribute to the D&D network across Europe. - Additional Tasks: Perform other ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed. The role has national responsibility and requires travel, approximately 50-60% of the time, both locally and internationally. Key Success Factors: - Sales Growth: Achieve significant sales growth in the Dosing and Disinfection sector within the designated area. - Customer Portfolio Expansion: Increase sales to existing customers and expand the customer portfolio. - New Customer Development: Identify and develop sales opportunities with new customers. - Knowledge Enhancement: Improve expertise and skills in the area through comprehensive training and coaching. - Sustainability Leadership: Promote and drive the sustainability agenda through our D&D product range. What are we looking for? - Extensive Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in a technical sales role. - Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Water Treatment. - Industry Expertise: Experience with leading companies in the water treatment industry. - Business Development: Experience in business development (preferred). - Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of digital dosing or chemical dosing products. - Market Familiarity: Familiarity with key companies and product types in the dosing and disinfection market. - Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant laws and regulations. - Proven Sales Record: Demonstrated success in value selling within the Dosing and Disinfection sector.
