We are looking for an Technical Account Manager - Aerospace for a 6 months contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
Job description - the role
To provide appropriate industrialisation governance support to the Airframers via the Supply Chain Project Manager or through consolidated supply chain change plans to enable the achievement of both business and customer requirements; through project management. The scope covers all initiatives that cause change to the supply chain impacting new build engine supply only; ensuring appropriate rate readiness assessments and suitable supply chain risks management
activities; where appropriate communicating current status (including risks) both internally and externally to our customers.
As a Technical Account Manager - Aerospace you will be responsible for:
Understanding short and medium term rate & mix flexibility constraints throughout the supply chain and ensuring these risks and impacts are fully communicated.
Develop and execute appropriate governance with the involved accounts (customers) to support short and medium term risk constraints.
Support organisation and facilitation of the Industrial and Quality reviews with the customers.
Communicate & consolidate across all functions in order to satisfy the customers' requirements and ensure understanding throughout the business in order to meet customer requirements.
Communicate agreed KPIs with customers.
Assess and provide information on potential disruption items to customers.
Support as required the operations team on critical supply chain delivery issues including information sharing and feedback to the customer.
As a Technical Account Manager - Aerospace you will support improvement activities through the process on elements related to supply chain management and governance.
Be a main point of contact with the customers on all items related to the industrial governance process, work across all areas of the business to ensure requirements are understood and fulfilled
Have an understanding of relevant Supply Chain change including new facilities, footprint changes, Major MOD incorporations; managing hazards and risks associated with the SCP&C elements.
Will ensure that statements of work e.g. SCRD, Project Charters are agreed and plans risk assessed to deliver the agreed requirements .
Will provide functional input & guidance into the development of strategic supply chain designs throughout the life cycle in order to meet the business and customer requirements.
Deploy proactive risk management using standard risk management tools and escalation management; specifically related to Supply Chain Planning and Control.
Will ensure the development of the competencies and core skills of these roles through education and shared learning.What we require from the candidate:
Managed programmes/projects and/or led improvement activities within the Supply Chain or a Supply Chain related function Engineering/Manufacturing/Purchasing.
Proven People Management skills - specifically management/influence of those not reporting directly.
Experience of Managing complex customer and supplier interfaces
