We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Urban Designer/Senior Urban Designer to join our Design team, whose work is national in its reach and collaborative in approach.
Location: Bristol
Turley creates places of quality that deliver development value through the intelligent and expert application of the UK planning system. We work with clients on interesting and compelling projects that deliver better places.
We are a team of 12 Urban Designers working across the UK and Ireland. Our multi-faceted team comprises architects, landscape architects, and designers with a planning qualification, giving us a unique and rich blend of skills and backgrounds.
We seek a highly competent and passionate Urban Designer/Senior Urban Designer who is confident, committed to their own development, and at the forefront of professional best practice. You will have experience contributing to masterplanning projects from inception to completion, with particular emphasis on providing great client service and the delivery of high-quality outputs.
The successful candidate will have experience in the production of masterplans and strategic frameworks, as well as Design and Access Statements and associated plans for both outline and detailed applications. You should be highly skilled and creative in your approach, and confident in discussing your ideas through both verbal and written or graphical communication.
A degree in Architecture and/or a post-graduate qualification in Urban Design or a relevant discipline is desired, along with solid experience in UK housing and mixed-use projects gained in design, architectural, and/or planning consultancies. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft packages is required, with 3D computer modelling, rendering, and hand drawing skills being desirable.
