We are delighted to be supporting this not-for-profit organization in helping them find an experienced HR Advisor to join their busy team.
We are eager to speak to motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are keen to join a dynamic HR team as an HR Advisor. The post holder will provide HR support and advice within a dedicated HR team to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective, wide-ranging, professional HR service. The successful candidate will be expected to provide a range of advice and support to managers on HR issues, including recruitment, performance management, employment law, staff welfare, contractual matters, and terms and conditions of employment.
This role is within a fascinating and unique Welsh charity undergoing change and transformation, offering the new HR Advisor the opportunity to be involved with various people projects.
Initially, the role is a 12-month contract (until the end of January 2026).
The Job
* Develop effective and strong relationships with managers at all levels to promote good employee relations, providing coaching where necessary to encourage early intervention and prevent escalation where possible.
* Provide advice and support on the management of formal people processes, attend formal meetings, ensure accurate records are taken, and provide advice on processes as needed.
* Lead on absence management across the business, proactively liaising with managers to ensure absence issues are addressed consistently, through coaching, advising, and supporting managers.
* Advise on occupational sick pay entitlements, liaising with payroll to ensure timely communication with employees about changes in pay while absent.
* Work with the HR team on projects and improving people processes.
* Provide advice and support across the full range of generalist people services.
Person Specification
* CIPD Level 5 or working towards it.
* Knowledge and experience of working in a busy HR department.
* Knowledge of employment law and a strong understanding of the People Function.
* Ability to advise and collaborate with senior members of an organization.
* Strong administrative experience and a solid understanding of various IT software.
* Experience using HRIS.
Salary and Benefits
* Salary on offer is up to £30,000 per annum
* Working hours: 35 hours per week.
* Annual leave: 25 days per annum (pro rata).
* Flexible/hybrid working: a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.
