Role Overview: The Head of Marketing will be responsible for shaping and executing the agency’s overall marketing strategy, enhancing the agency’s brand, and driving new business opportunities. Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy & Brand Positioning: Develop and oversee the agency’s marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and values. Establish and maintain a strong, differentiated brand identity for the agency. Develop and execute a marketing strategy that leverages Hallam’s award-winning reputation, celebrated case studies, and industry expertise to differentiate the agency in a competitive market. Champion Hallam’s position as thought leaders by creating compelling narratives and promoting the team’s achievements across all channels. Drive content marketing efforts, including blogs, social media, whitepapers, and other materials, to highlight the agency’s value proposition. Building a content and events engine to power our brand reputation Managing the awards calendar and writing entries for relevant awards Securing PR coverage and brand mentions Proactive review management - e.g. Drum, Trustpilot Ownership of companywide public speaking programme Website updates and best practices Lead Generation & Business Growth: Develop and execute campaigns to attract new clients, leveraging paid, owned, and earned channels. Partner closely with sales and leadership teams to ensure campaigns are fully aligned with Hallam’s strategic goals and deliver measurable growth Monitor and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, optimising for ROI. Digital Marketing & Analytics: Manage the agency’s website, and work with specialists to optimise SEO, and online presence, maximising visibility and conversion. Oversee paid media efforts to drive targeted traffic and high-quality leads. Use cutting-edge digital marketing tools and techniques to enhance Hallam’s online visibility and drive meaningful engagement Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with senior leaders and department heads to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and business goals. Encourage input from internal teams to identify unique selling points and create compelling narratives. Build and manage relationships with external vendors, freelancers, and media outlets. Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the agency ahead of competitors. Identify opportunities to innovate within the agency’s marketing approach and offerings. Organise and represent the agency at events, conferences, and networking opportunities. KPIs: Increase in marketing qualified leads generated through marketing initiatives (e.g., X% growth quarterly). Improvement in website traffic, engagement, and conversion rates (e.g., bounce rate reduction, X% form submissions). Growth in social media following and engagement (e.g., X% increase in followers, Y% engagement rate). Successful execution of marketing campaigns on time and within budget. Recognition through industry awards, press coverage, and thought leadership engagements. Requirements: Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within a digital marketing or agency environment. Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, PPC, content marketing, and analytics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and positioning. Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactical initiatives effectively. Data-driven mindset with experience measuring and reporting on marketing performance. Leadership qualities that foster collaboration and inspire innovation.
