CAA has an opening for an Analyst on our Data Insights team. In this role, you will be a member of a highly motivated and collaborative team responsible for providing actionable insights to business unit stakeholders (Agents Executives, and client management teams) using cutting-edge data and analytical tools.
Your role is to provide data that is accurate, congruent, contextualised and actionable to ensure information is easily available to users for direct consumption. In collaboration with the team, you will help educate and train internal stakeholders to explore and understand information in new ways, generating compelling insights that inform and support effective decision-making and client servicing. It will be essential, and a success criterion, that you build an understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables you to identify and address critical issues and opportunities.
This position will work in CAA’s London Office during typical business hours. Flexibility is expected as the Data Insights team is predominately based in CAA’s Los Angeles office. Communication across time-zones will be required as you be reporting to a manager based in the Los Angeles, CA office. Occasional travel, including company meetings and events, is also expected.
Main Responsibilities to include, but limited to:
1. Collaborate closely with senior analysts on the team to derive strategic and actionable insights from various sources to garner audience and marketplace intelligence on clients across all departments (Film, TV, Music, Sports, Brands, Consumer Products, etc.), with a special focus on Music, Comedy and Sports.
2. Participate in translating findings into digestible and visually intuitive outputs through compelling analysis and storytelling to Agents, Executives, and client teams.
3. Assist with data vendor relationships to respond to the changing information needs of the business.
4. Leverage proprietary & third-party analytics tools to demonstrate the popularity, value, and impact of our client’s work and/or their related businesses.
5. Provide analyses on brand, category, and consumer trends to uncover opportunities in support of CAA’s brand and brand-building groups.
6. Act as a liaison between data teams and business stakeholders (CAA Agents and Executives) to gather and organise requirements for the design of optimal data solutions and internal platforms.
7. In coordination with the data group, participate in workstream planning processes including gathering requirements, testing, delivery, and training of new analytics features.
8. Balance numerous projects across different departments and sustain open communication with the team/stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
9. Assist with training and adoption of CAA’s internal analytics platforms, including conducting company-wide, departmental, and one-on-one training sessions; maintaining documentation and training guides; and championing CAA’s data products.
10. Collaborate effectively across all areas of the Data Team (Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Management, Data Engineering, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
11. Bachelor's Degree in Business, marketing, computer science, information systems, or specialised training/certification in a related field is preferred.
12. Four or more years of experience as an Analyst or similar role at an entertainment agency, consumer brand, market research agency, ad agency, or related company preferred.
13. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; highly collaborative and inclusive team player while also being a self-starter.
14. Highly detail-oriented and well-organised; able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks/deadlines at once and can easily adapt to change.
15. Strong passion for and knowledge of cultural and industry trends that affect brands and consumers. Preference for a passion in the live entertainment space (music, comedy and sports)
16. Understanding of the entertainment, social media and digital landscape including consumer & platform trends, audience measurement & metrics, monetisation strategies, etc.
17. Experience mining and analysing data from social listening, digital analytics, and consumer/market research tools (e.g., Meltwater, NetBase, Helixa, Nielsen, MRI/Simmons, Google Analytics, E-Poll, etc.).
18. Avid user and fluency with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook).
19. Experience working in Microsoft Excel and can create beautiful client-facing PowerPoint presentations.
20. Experience working with data to solve business problems, i.e., generate and communicate actionable insights to business users.
21. Committed to the data education of stakeholders, sharing of information, and empowerment through data.
22. Experience with modern Data Visualisation tools (e.g., Power Bl, Tableau, Qlik) preferred.
