Technical Operator We are looking for several Technical Operators to join our Nuneaton-based Operations team. You will be aligned to ONE of the following Operational Shift Patterns (please specify any preference in application) Nights / 10 pm until 6 am - Sunday – Thursday (this role will include additional shift allowance pay) AM / 6 am until 2 pm – Monday – Friday PM / 2 pm Until 10 pm Monday - Friday The Person: The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical and mechanical aptitude and a keen interest in the food manufacturing industry. They should be detail-oriented, with a meticulous approach to their work and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on their feet are essential for success in this role. The candidate should have effective communication skills and be able to work collaboratively within a team environment. They should be self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable to changing priorities and demands. A strong commitment to health and safety protocols is necessary to ensure a safe working environment. The Role: As a Technical Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various technical equipment and machinery within the food manufacturing factory. You will work closely with the Movers and Makers in our production teams to ensure efficient and smooth production processes. Attention to detail is crucial as you will monitor and control the equipment to maintain product quality and adherence to specifications. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during production, minimising downtime and optimising productivity. Collaborating with the engineering, quality and technical teams, you will perform routine checks, cleaning, and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance. You will be expected to follow strict health and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and organised work area. Responsibilities: Operate technical equipment and machinery according to established procedures and guidelines. – can we give some examples of the types of machinery? Monitor production processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards and making adjustments as necessary. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, minimising disruptions to production. Conduct routine checks, cleaning, and maintenance of machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation. Ensure your shift has all the skills required to optimise performance Liaise with the Training team to develop and implement the required training plans for team members Work with the Engineering function to optimise equipment performance and carry out the required asset care tasks. Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times, ensuring a safe working environment. Document and report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or incidents to the appropriate teams. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and provide suggestions for enhancing operational efficiency. Execute various transactions within Redzone to support production Requirements: Previous experience in a technical engineering or operational role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry. GCSE Level 4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent qualification). Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demands. Competent computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring.
