Woking & Sam Beare Hospice are pleased to announce the following position:
Health Care Assistant – Band 2/3
Woking and Sam Beare Hospice In Patient Unit is looking for a passionate, dynamic, and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join our incredible team.
Here at the hospice, we pride ourselves on giving exceptionally high standards of care to patients and their families through some of the most challenging times of their lives. Our charity-based service specializes in palliative and end of life care for patients with complex life limiting illnesses who live in the North-West Surrey area.
Some of the ways we provide such high standards is through fantastic staff-to-patient ratios that leave our patients and families feeling like they are always a priority. Additionally, our environment is clean, warm, and homely to ensure all who come through our services feel safe and comfortable.
We have a keen focus on education and development. Our education team supports excellent training sessions taught by our in-house experts. Furthermore, our staff are encouraged and supported to increase their professional skills through courses and university modules.
Recent examples of our commitment to developing our team include:
* NA to RN apprenticeships
* HCA to NA apprenticeships
* CNS supported and developed to join our medical team as a Non-Medical Prescriber/ANP
* Staff Nurse to Senior Staff Nurse
* Senior Staff Nurse into Clinical Nurse Specialist positions in our community team.
” A beautiful setting, warm friendly staff and colleagues, and the gratitude of the patients and their families fuel my energies to keep going with a challenging role. What we do is not easy but it’s very worthwhile”.
