We are looking for a Compliance and HR Manager to lead the monitoring of our Clients' call compliance and regulatory insolvency requirements throughout our client journey—including advice, assessment, and draft calls—while also overseeing HR functions within the business. This is a hybrid role that combines responsibility for regulatory and quality standards with HR leadership, supporting a positive employee experience and ensuring the business remains compliant across both client and people-focused processes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in compliance within financial services or insolvency, as well as hands-on HR experience, particularly in employee relations, policy implementation, and recruitment. Key Responsibilities: - Compliance & Quality Assurance Manage a small team of Quality and Assurance staff. Oversee the monitoring of all internal calls to ensure compliance with regulatory and insolvency standards. Provide structured feedback, document findings, and implement tailored training plans. Identify development opportunities and lead training initiatives to drive staff performance and consistency. Deliver one-on-one and group coaching sessions to enhance compliance and service quality. Produce regular reports on compliance trends, quality outcomes, and training impact. Collaborate with leadership to align compliance efforts with broader company objectives. Participate in daily compliance meetings and contribute to continuous improvement. Human Resources Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related queries and provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies and procedures. Support the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding. Oversee employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary processes, and absence management. Maintain and update HR documentation such as employment contracts, job descriptions, and the employee handbook. Monitor and manage sickness and annual leave reporting, ensuring accurate record keeping. Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation and regulatory requirements. Lead HR projects and initiatives that promote employee engagement and wellbeing. Coordinate and support appraisals, training plans, and professional development opportunities. Skills & Competencies: Proven experience in a compliance or quality assurance role within financial services or insolvency. Strong understanding of insolvency compliance standards and FCA guidance. Practical HR experience with a working knowledge of UK employment law and best practices. CIPD qualification (Level 3 or above) desirable. Ability to coach and support staff development through structured feedback and mentoring. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organised, proactive, and capable of handling sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism. A collaborative approach with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
