We are looking for a warm and professional Maitre D' to be the face of our brand-new restaurant on the picturesque Isle of Wight. Key Responsibilities: Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanour, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage all Food & Beverage (F&B) reservations, coordinating with guests and internal teams to optimise bookings and ensure seamless service. Handle walk-ins efficiently to minimise wait times and maximise guest satisfaction. Coordinate with the restaurant and bar teams to ensure smooth seating flow and service. Invite guests to their tables, providing menus and offering initial recommendations. Ensure menus are clean, up to date, and well-presented at all times. Maintain and look after all equipment belonging to the Host Team, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and in proper working order. Address guest enquiries and accommodate special requests to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the entrance, waiting area, and reservation system. Monitor guest satisfaction, assisting with problem resolution when needed. Assist with managing phone enquiries and online bookings. Uphold high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service etiquette. Requirements: Previous experience in a front-of-house or customer service role preferred. Experience managing reservations, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy restaurant setting. A friendly, enthusiastic, and professional attitude. Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
