Althams Butchers is one of the oldest and largest independent family-owned & run butchers in the country. We specialise in quality meat and meat products for wholesale, serving hotels, restaurants (including several Michelin Star establishments), pub chains, conferencing venues, and catering companies UK wide. We operate a state-of-the-art plant in Morecambe, Lancashire. Our Location on the edge of the Lake District, Lancashire and Yorkshire gives us access to some of the best cattle and lamb markets in the UK.

Your Mastery
Due to our continual growth and investment, we are recruiting a Customer Support Advisor at our office in Morecambe.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. To process customer orders taken over the phone, email, and answer-phone and enter the details accurately onto our system.
2. To proactively upsell daily specials to customers.
3. Proactively build knowledge and understanding of existing and new customers.
4. To answer and resolve customer queries.
5. Receive any customer feedback and pass it to the appropriate person.
6. Interacting constructively with all other departments and members of staff throughout the business.
7. To ensure daily administration tasks are completed within the deadlines.
The Key Ingredients
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and administrative skills, telephone etiquette, and be able to use a computer efficiently.
As the role requires information to be processed on our systems, you must have excellent attention to detail to ensure minimum errors.
Personality is important in this role; we want someone who demonstrates a positive attitude to work and who can communicate effectively with our customers. High levels of energy are required due to the role being fast-paced.
Basic knowledge of math is essential for this job as it enables employees to analyse data, perform calculations, and make informed decisions based on numerical information. Proficiency in fundamental math concepts ensures accuracy in tasks that are critical for this role.
The hours for the role will be 8.30am until 5pm worked Monday to Friday with a half an hour break. Occasional evening cover may be required.
Experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
