What you’ll be doing Working in a busy Mechanical Engineering Department we are looking for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, to lead, mentor and manage teams of mechanical design engineers and CAD draughters on key programmes of work to make a real difference. You’ll be working on highly complex safety systems and related supporting equipment within a highly regulated environment. The role will include performance & structural calculations, producing 3D models and supporting documentation as part of development and sustainment projects, as well as mentoring the team. The engineering you’ll be delivering is world leading, their products are studied as "best in class" at many Universities and their reputation is highly regarded across the globe. You will be working with customers helping them to understand how these key products are best deployed - you will be a key leader not just internally but externally too.
