Description The Service & Team: Cornwall Council's Anti-Social Behaviour Team is a small team that sits within the Community Safety Team in the Neighbourhoods Directorate. The Role: Through solution focused and partnership working with agencies, the purpose of this post is to tackle a range of anti-social behaviour in adults, young people, covering all housing tenures in neighbourhoods and community-based hotspots. The successful applicant will issue and advise Police on using anti-social behaviour warnings and Acceptable Behaviour Contracts and actively use the tools and powers available from the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime & Policing Act 2014. They will also provide support and advice to individuals and families who are involved, or at risk of becoming involved, in anti-social behaviour. The role will involve managing a caseload of anti-social behaviour, inputting data into the ASB database as well as organising and chairing multi-agency meetings. The role-holder will also represent, advise and speak on behalf of the Cornwall Council and the Community Safety Team at various meetings including Safer Towns, Complex Needs, Town Council meetings, Community Area Partnerships, Pubwatch and other local community forums. It will also include taking part in frontline ASB patrols and support follow up actions with Police and others partners as part of targeted operations in response to anti-social behaviour concerns. About You (Skills, knowledge, qualifications etc) You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and good experience of dealing with people on all levels as part of a customer focused service including experience of dealing with confrontation and conflict. You will be able to evidence good partnership working and knowledge of Anti-Social Behaviour legislation. You are committed to the protection and safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults. A good general level of fitness is also required to carry out joint patrols and walkabouts.
