This is a part-time position requiring 22.5 hours per week, with a salary of £23,000 pro-rata based on a full-time equivalent of 36.5 hours per week. Working within Ecotricity’s Transactional Finance team, this position is an Accounts Receivable role responsible for posting Customer payments, including credit card, bank receipts and direct debits. Payments should be posted ensuring timely and accurate Cash Allocation. Working with key stakeholders both within and outside the wider finance team to provide query support to strict deadlines and providing strong customer service. The department is friendly and professional and requires a self driven, highly motivated individual capable of identifying continual improvements. In addition to the core activities, you may be responsible for undertaking other project-based work within Accounts receivable team all aimed at delivering a high and consistent quality of service to Ecotricity customers. What you will do Post Payments to customer accounts within agreed timescales Dealing with queries regarding Customer payments Providing cover for other Accounts Receivable Specialists in their absence Processing customer refunds Working closely with staff in the finance and business teams and assisting with any ad-hoc queries. Any other AR related activities as requested by Team Leader, Manager or Head of Department About You The Accounts Receivable department is a fast paced and high-volume environment so a methodical approach, an ability to maintain accuracy and remain calm under pressure are critical. The role requires a self-starter with excellent attention to detail and an ability to work to daily deadlines as part of a close-knit team. You'll be numerate and literate, able to be reactive within a fast-paced office environment with fluctuating workloads. You'll be keen to learn with a positive, can-do attitude. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll be in contact with Ecotricity customers and other internal departments so good communication skills and a focus on customer service are essential. This is a role which will involve the handling of sensitive financial data and so requires someone who can show maturity, sensitivity and discretion.
