Job Role: Physics Lecturer Location: Harrow-on-the-Hill Employment Basis: Permanent, Full-Time Salary Range: £32,455 to £45,260 per annum We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Physics Lecturer to join our academic team at Harrow-on-the-Hill on a permanent, full-time basis. Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Lesson Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Physics lessons to students at various levels, ensuring they gain a deep understanding of the subject. Assessment & Feedback: Design and implement assessments to monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to guide their learning. Student Support: Offer additional support to students, ensuring their individual learning needs are addressed and helping them overcome academic challenges. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Physics curriculum, ensuring it is up-to-date and aligned with academic standards. Classroom Management: Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages students to engage with the subject and excel. Progress Monitoring: Track and review student progress, ensuring timely intervention and additional support where necessary to enhance learning outcomes. Qualifications and Experience Required: A degree in Physics or a related scientific field (or equivalent professional experience). A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one, teacher training will be provided). Strong knowledge of the Physics curriculum and assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for teaching and supporting students to achieve their academic goals. Desirable Skills & Attributes: Experience in teaching Physics at Further Education level. Ability to inspire and engage students in the subject of Physics, making complex concepts accessible and interesting. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. A proactive, student-centered approach to teaching, with a focus on supporting individual learning needs. Experience using modern teaching technologies and resources to enhance the learning experience. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the continuous development of the curriculum.
