I'm working with a brilliant special school based in South Bristol that are looking for a teacher to join the team from January in leading a KS2 class. The school look after students with a range of special needs including SEMH, SLCN & ASD.
The school have fantastic facilities that provide exceptional pastoral support to the their students. They put a major focus on making sure the students are independent as they can be.
The role
The position that has become available is within a KS2 class of 8 SEMH students where you will be ably supported by 2 permanent TA's. You will be expected to plan your own lessons (primary model) as well as mark the lessons (adequate PPA time will be provided).
Experience wise, it is essential that you have worked with SEMH/SEN students before and preferably you would hold a QTS. You must be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour.
