Senior Research Support Administrator (Post Award)

Are you hard working with an eye for detail? Do you have administrative experience working in a busy office environment ideally in a research support or finance role? Do you want to join a team that is committed to supporting the strategic objectives and research culture of the newly created Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences?
We are looking for a professional and proactive individual to provide high quality, customer focussed, post-award research support to our Faculty Research Office (FRO), working closely with the Faculty Research Manager (FRM) to provide expert knowledge on all matters relating to the provision of grants management and financial management of projects in line with University and research funder rules and regulations. You will be part of the University's Research Operations service, but will be deployed to the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences and will report to the Faculty Research Manager. You will make a valuable and significant contribution to the team, with particular responsibility for the post-award team, shaping the post-award service provided by the team to fit the needs of Schools within the Faculty and contributing to cross institutional discussions on grant management.
With extensive administrative experience in a busy, customer focussed environment, you will also have excellent organisation skills, a thorough understanding of managing projects and budgets, the ability to problem solve and experience of line management.
