Purpose of the Job
Accountability of all aspects of the day-to-day Operation, QHSE and Risk management in support of the Technical Manager across the site including the management of the white space power to the clients IT Racks.
Operational Responsibilities
1. Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
2. Conduct regular reviews of operating procedures, including logbooks, QHSE, observations, audits, EOP's, SOP's and electrical safety programs, making recommendations for improvements.
3. Manage all documentation and records ensuring accuracy for audit, conduct regular reviews, and updating information for all aspects of work.
4. Act as the site Risk Champion to manage all site-related risks in conjunction with the operations director and technical manager.
5. Maintain a site-wide understanding of H&S best practices to meet all QHSE contractual requirements.
6. Assist the Technical Manager with planning and implementation of forthcoming M&E operations.
7. Actively pursue any reasonable management requests in support of the contract that fall outside main job role.
8. Create the white space procedure for the energising and de-energising of all IT racks within the IT white space across the data centre.
9. Work with the change manager to ensure changes are completed and approved ahead of any energisations.
10. Liaise with Client and Tenant and ensure all white space power works are captured and planned through service now and the change process.
11. Manage the day operations team in support of the shift manager.
12. Create site SOP/EOP & MOP's.
13. Issue safety documentation and provide HV/LV support by completing the AP process.
People management
1. Daily management of the day operations team to ensure compliance with CBRE processes and procedures, including mock drills.
2. Provide leadership and guidance, advice, coaching, and direct support to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment, and recognition/reward to the day team.
3. Ensure business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented.
4. Deliver training plans for direct reports.
Skills
1. Experience of working in a fast-paced operational environment.
2. Strong relationship management with colleagues, clients, and sub-contractors demonstrating excellent communication/influencing skills.
3. Excellent IT skills, competent across Microsoft Office programs.
4. Good communication etiquette.
5. Strong organisational abilities ensuring all documentation is stored and auditable.
6. Experience with a CAFM system is desirable.
7. HV AP is desirable.
8. IOSH managing safety certification is desirable.
9. Able to multitask and prioritise workload.
10. Build and develop relationships with key business and account stakeholders.
11. Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
