Big C, as a regional charity, is dedicated to supporting anyone affected by cancer in Norfolk and neighbouring counties. We are offering two unique opportunities for PhD students with a passion for making a difference for people affected by cancer. Using your skills in research and project planning, you will help us shape key projects linked to Big C’s strategic objectives: Research and proposals to support the design and development of motivating communications materials a nd activities to engage organisations (corporates) with Big C cancer-related PhD research fund appeal. Undertake an audit of Big C cancer charity, using analysis and research to support the development of an ESG Policy which demonstrates credentials and assists the charity in securing grant funding. In these full-time 12-week internships, you will work as part of Big C’s Marketing and Communications team, but also across the organisation gaining valuable charity sector work experience. Primarily based at Big C’s Head Office in Centrum, Norwich Research Park, the team also hybrid work flexibly between home and office. For the purpose of clarity, these are unpaid internship opportunities. To be suitable for these placements you must: - Have a good understanding of project planning Have good research and analytical skills Be comfortable with working independently and as part of a team A good understanding or strong interest of the project subject Have excellent verbal and written communication skills Maintain excellent record keeping Big C's Core Values are Respect Empathy Support Trust and Honesty.
