Electrical / Mechanical Multi Skilled Engineer / Plant Technician who is self-motivated and flexible with a “can do” attitude and demonstratable electrical fault-finding skills is required for a well-established and expanding family-owned food and farming business based in Holbeach Hurn, Lincolnshire, East Midlands.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates MUST have their own transport as the site is inaccessible by public transport.
SALARY: £48,160 - £53,760 per annum + Benefits (see below)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Electrical / Mechanical Multi Skilled Engineer / Plant Technician who is self-motivated and flexible with a “can do” attitude and demonstratable electrical fault-finding skills. Working as an Electrical / Mechanical Multi Skilled Engineer / Plant Technician you will be responsible for providing a high level of engineering services and technical support to the business, focusing on reducing downtime proactively using the site's PM software.
As an Electrical / Mechanical Multi Skilled Engineer / Plant Technician, you will oversee the execution of day-to-day maintenance tasks, including line improvements for a company that packages fresh, wholehead vegetables for wholesale and high-street retailers.
DUTIES
* Execution of day-to-day maintenance tasks, including line improvements.
* Provision and implementation of solutions in line with the engineering strategy to reduce downtime.
* Use of root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons behind problems and failures, seeking to identify areas for improvement in plant performance.
* Involvement in engineering projects from inception to delivery as and when required.
* Continually drive towards a PPM culture.
* Assist in setting of machines in conjunction with the operations team.
* Provision of a first-class engineering service.
* Provide daily progress updates to the Site Engineering Lead.
* Work together with internal and external teams.
* Comply with all health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
* Communicate effectively with engineering stores on parts used, to maintain the restock cycle.
* Work alongside production with a “one team” mindset.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Time served apprenticeship.
* Electrical qualifications from a recognised body.
* Mechanical qualifications from a recognised body (Desirable).
* NVQ level 3 or BTEC L3 or equivalent.
* Electrical fault-finding skills.
* Logic Control experience (desirable).
* A can do attitude.
* Self-motivated and flexible.
* Have a right first-time approach.
* Effective communication skills.
