Role Purpose: To operate the manufacturing processes in compliance with defined operating instructions, maintaining the requisite Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) and Quality standards, and ensuring the production plans are met on time in full. This role acts as the lead Process Operator, coordinating shift activities in accordance with production plans. Principal Accountabilities: · Operate the assets in compliance with operating procedures, including routine process start-ups and shutdowns in accordance with SHE standards. · Operate the production process in accordance with process control standards, ensuring product meets consistency and quality standards to meet the production schedule. · Record data to the required standards in the relevant systems to enable and lead post-production reviews. · Optimize process conditions within set limits using analytical data and results, identifying and assessing abnormalities and taking appropriate actions to resolve in line with the relevant operating procedures. · Identify and lead continuous improvement activities, coaching team members as appropriate to implement new work practices and procedures as they arise. · Prioritize and plan production and internal resources to meet production schedules. · Issue permits to work in accordance with defined procedures. · Act as Site Incident Controller (Emergency Response Management) in the event of a Major Accident Hazard. · Lead operator in a shift team. · May deputize for Team Leader. · Support design, construction, and commissioning on Major CAPEX projects. Experience: · Experience of working within a complex/chemical/hazardous manufacturing environment. · Good communication skills. · Basic mechanical knowledge and analytical skills to provide frontline maintenance support. · Attention to detail and quality conscious. · Demonstrable skills to effectively plan, lead, and coordinate shift activities, prioritizing tasks and optimizing resources. · Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.
