We are a growing Food Manufacturing Company in the UK that now requires the services of a Food Production Manager with experience in producing African Meals or Catering for African Events. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our 24-hour food production facility, including:
* Production planning: Developing schedules to meet demand and ensure efficient use of resources.
* Quality control: Ensuring products meet quality standards and regulations.
* Staff management: Supervising and training production workers, ensuring they adhere to safety and quality standards.
* Safety: Ensuring health and safety regulations are met.
* Problem solving: Troubleshooting problems that arise during production.
* Process improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement and making recommendations.
* Reporting: Generating production reports and analyzing KPIs to present to senior management.
* Liaison: Liaising with different departments, such as procurement, logistics, and quality control.
Food Production Managers typically work around 35 to 40 hours per week (1-hour lunch), but may need to work day/night shifts or unsocial hours to meet deadlines. They may also be on call at weekends or public holidays to deal with problems. To become a Food Production Manager, you may need a national diploma or be able to demonstrate relevant experience in food preparation, catering for events, and managing people within a food business.

Pay: £30,000.00 - £40,000.00 per year
