THE ROLE We are looking for a skilled UX Designer to join our growing team to support identifying opportunities and develop a roadmap of experimentation plans to optimise key customer journeys and experiences on the TV Licensing website. Your role will include research, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing, ensuring that our website features and functions meet the needs of users while supporting business goals. You will be part of a bespoke web team consisting of Strategy, Data Planning, Client Partnership, and Project Management and Design/Copy. THE OPPORTUNITY You’ll get to work on one of the biggest accounts (and still growing) in the agency with a 45-strong team (including Client Leadership, Strategic Planning, Project Managers, Data Planning, Analytics and Service Delivery). TVL is a highly strategic and varied account, as we communicate with every household in the UK – across multiple channels. Part of its uniqueness is that the BBC has outsourced its whole Marketing function to RAPP. So, not only do we get to lead the Marketing objectives and strategy that drive real behaviour change but we also manage the implementation of that strategy all the way through to selecting the data to target, delivering the creative and analysing performance. You’ll work closely with key clients at BBC TVL, stakeholders and our talented team of experts and SMEs at RAPP. We have had the account since 2002 and the client satisfaction scores have consistently been among the highest in the agency. Key Responsibilities User Research: In conjunction with partner teams, you will analyse user interviews, web analytics (GA / Content Square), usability tests, and other research methods to gather insights on user needs and pain points. Comms strategy and business objectives: You will work closely with the lead strategist to ensure the business objectives are being considered at every stage of the journey Wireframing & Prototyping: You will be responsible for creating wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups for new features or improvements. Interaction Design: Working with the UI designer to design intuitive and efficient user interfaces that facilitate ease of use and provide a seamless experience. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You will work closely with the web team, client teams, design and copy to ensure the design vision aligns with technical feasibility and business goals. Client facing: You will work directly with clients, stakeholders and internal teams – confident in being able to lead from a UX perspective in ideation sessions through to presenting and delivering UX and design solutions Design Systems & Consistency: Maintain and contribute to a cohesive design system to ensure consistency across the product. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging design tools, and best practices to continuously improve the user experience. THE REQUIREMENTS Proven experience as a UX Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing UX design work. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, etc. (Figma is a plus, but not required) Proven understanding and experience design for A and AA accessibility Experience with wireframing, user flows, and interactive prototyping. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. Experience working with web experimentation platforms (Ideally Optimize / Optimizely) and understanding technical capabilities to ensure that solutions are feasible Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate design rationale clearly. Familiarity with front-end development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript) is a plus, but not required. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with data tools such as GA, Content Square is a plus but not required We’re looking for people who are curious, collaborative, inquisitive, throw themselves into problem solving and take ownership of it.
