We are excited to announce that we are looking for Senior Health & Social Care Workers to join our established Care at Home Team with in the North Skye area.
The location of this post is in the Isle of Raasay and due to this carers will be required to stay on the island overnight, there is staff accommodation within the island that the applicant would be able to use while on working days in Raasay.
This fixed term post supports our vision of a highly skilled, experienced, flexible workforce that has knowledge and skills in delivering modernised services. You would be a valued member of a dedicated, professional Care at Home Team delivering a high standard of care within the local communities. You will be supporting people who need assistance with personal care, meal assistance and medication support to help them live as independently as possible within their homes and thus allowing them to remain part of community for longer. The work is dynamic and varied due to our rural communities and their location.
One of our Service's top priorities is nurturing the next generation of staff. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic and dedicated to delivering high quality care and enjoy working within a close team of carers. You will be working with and supported by the Care at Home Officer, Band 4 - Lead Health & Social Care Workers, Care at Home Coordinator and Admin and work alongside others Band 3 - Senior Health and Social Care Workers. The team as a whole will provide you with expert advice with any complex issues, updates of clients and developing sound practice within your role. A full induction will be provided as well as ongoing training and support throughout your career.
The right candidate will have of experience in dealing with vulnerable adults, especially older people in a caring capacity. They must also have good verbal and written communication skills. There would be an expectation that an SVQ Level 2 in Care, or a willingness and ability to work towards this qualification within an agreed time scale is an essential part of this post.
