Are you a reliable and meticulous person who would like to support a school by making sure everything is safe for the students and staff alike? Spencer Clarke Group is partnering with a highly regarded school in Crawley to find an experienced Premises Supervisor.
PLEASE NOTE: You must have an Enhanced DBS for this role, if you do not have one you will asked to pay for one before starting any work with us
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, and cleaning.
2. Perform security checks to ensure the safety of the premises.
3. Oversee the heating, lighting, and ventilation systems, testing alarms and safety equipment as needed
4. Help manage major repairs to the site and liaising with contractors as needed
5. Assist with the setup and cleanup of school events and activities.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and help build visitor policies to ensure proper safeguarding protocols are followed
Requirements:
7. Proven experience in facilities maintenance or general building repairs, preferably in an educational setting.
8. Able to carry out a range of minor and major repairs across site, liaising with contractors as needed to ensure the school can run smoothly each day.
9. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
10. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to building maintenance.
11. Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping and communication, able to complete reports on completed works or issues needing attention
12. Certification in facilities management or a related field is a plus but anyone with minor repairs skills or experience will be considered

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
