WHO ARE WE?
Newmedica are one of the leading providers of NHS ophthalmology services in England, providing outpatient appointments, diagnostic testing, and eye surgery. We aim to change lives through better sight and eye health.
We care for thousands of NHS and private patients a year in our specialist eye clinics across the country. We have significant growth plans over the next few years as we look to establish a national footprint and open many new sites across the UK.
We are thrilled to say that we have been certified as a Great Place to Work following an independently conducted survey of Newmedica colleagues. This is a global benchmark that recognises employers who create an outstanding employee experience.
We are looking for a Bank Ophthalmic Assistant/Theatre Runner to join our Newmedica Worcester site.
OA’s/TR’s are an integral part of both our clinic and theatre teams and will undertake a variety of duties. It’s a busy role – you will be seeing a number of patients each day, either in Clinics or Theatre, and the ideal candidate will thrive in an efficient and fast-paced environment. No two days will be the same and equal time will be provided for both aspects of the role.
This is a great role to progress your clinical skills and will help in taking the first step on a clinical career path. There are opportunities to progress and develop, with full in-house training in both Clinic and Theatre. Newmedica is committed to the growth and development of all of our colleagues, and the OA/TR role is a great platform to explore your interests.
