Broad Core Responsibilities:
1. Working closely with the Head of Finance.
2. Processing supplier invoices and employee expenses.
3. Support payment runs/Bank reconciliations.
4. Raising customer invoices/supporting Projects team.
5. Credit Control.
6. Reviewing invoice coding to ensure accuracy.
7. Month end closure, accruals & prepayments, depreciation.
8. Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
9. Project reporting /WIP/SOH.
10. Assisting with Cashflow management.
11. Support Directors with queries.
Expected Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
1. Relevant finance / accountancy experience.
2. Experience gained in a project-based business.
3. Strong working knowledge of WIP and SOH.
4. Good understanding of accounting concepts and fundamentals.
5. Comfortable with accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
6. Month end experience.
7. Experienced with / assisting with management accounts preparation.
8. Happy communicating directly with customers on invoicing / credit control queries.
9. Used to working with accounting software, Xero.
10. Proficient with MS Office, specifically MS Excel.
11. A diligent, efficient and detailed approach.
Ideally:
1. Hold an accountancy qualification such as AAT or be studying towards.
2. Relevant finance experience gained in a construction project-based business.
